What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy makes use of the effects of hypnosis to enable clients to make positive changes in their thought processes and behaviours and is further enhanced by hypnosis to bring about lasting change and improvement.

Hypnotherapy is a complementary health practice that uses the body and mind’s own ability to help you manage, heal or resolve, and even transform many specific issues.

What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

At the Hope Hypnotherapy Clinic I use Solution Focused Hypnotherapy techniques which is a ‘talking therapy’ and a combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis.  The psychotherapy enables me to work on the goals set by the client to find solutions and combine this with hypnosis which enhances the effects of the psychotherapy. I also include the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Emotional Freedom Technique to enhance the benefits of the therapies I offer.

Solution focused hypnotherapy does not involve looking back at the past to deal with problems but looks forward to the future.

The many issues that can be helped with hypnotherapy are all rooted in the fear-based primitive mind, and are linked to anxiety, low mood, irrational fears, and self-limiting beliefs.

Why choose Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

In my clinic I ask the client to lie or sit comfortably on the couch and close their eyes, if they are happy to do that. Then I guide them into a relaxed ‘trance’ state, leading to further physical relaxation.

I then use positive, indirect suggestion to encourage new ways of thinking with a focus on the goals set by the client. My clients have reported that they feel energised and uplifted following their sessions.
